Sir Torock Dragonslayer

Arch Prelate of the Church of the Dragonwright

Pirate Mercenary

In the Duchy of Retheme, the formidable figure of Sir Torock Dragonslayer, Arch-Prelate of the Church of Dragonwright, strides with relentless purpose across the plains and mountain borders. Towering at an imposing 14 feet in height and weighing nearly 800 pounds, Torock is a Mountain Troll of the high Retheme ranges, shaped by stone, war, and divine fire. His presence alone bends attention; lesser men instinctively yield space as he passes.

His appearance is striking even among trolls. Jet-black hair is sculpted into a towering, ceremonial crest, maintained through ritual oils and Dragonwright consecration. Beneath a heavy brow ridge, his steel-grey eyes burn with controlled intensity, neither mindless fury nor mortal hesitation, but unwavering doctrinal certainty.

Clad in the sacred blackened plate armor of the Church of Dragonwright, Torock carries the full arsenal of his station: blessed dwarven-forged plate reinforced with rune-binding, a consecrated Holy Bastard Sword, a rune-lance designed for mounted shock warfare, and various sanctioned relics used in both open battle and clandestine ecclesiastical enforcement.

Despite his fearsome exterior, Torock is regarded within the Church not as a brute, but as a figure of austere discipline. Among Mountain Troll kind he is considered unusually refined, carrying himself with a controlled dignity and an incorruptible sense of duty shaped by faith rather than instinct.

What sets Torock apart from other champions of the Dragonwright is his chosen companion: a colossal white rhinoceros, anointed and bound to him through sacred rite. Armored in dwarven-forged plate barding etched with Dragonwright sigils, the beast serves not as a mere mount but as a living instrument of divine warfare, an engine of unstoppable, sacred impact.

In battle, the pair function as a single catastrophic force. Torock astride his rhinoceros charges into conflict with ritual precision, his armor gleaming with blackened sanctity and sacred insignia. Together they embody the Dragonwright ideal: strength made obedient, power made righteous, and faith made manifest through action.

The irony embedded in Sir Torock Dragonslayer's name carries a deep theological weight. Within his storied past, he has slain dragons, two confirmed great wyrms, acts that would seem to contradict the reverence of draconic divinity central to Dragonwright doctrine. Yet this contradiction has instead elevated him. To Torock, dragons are not sacred untouchables, but expressions of power that must either serve order or be corrected by it.

The Dragon Gods have Forgiven his past transgressions seem quite pleased with his current work. Toroch himself, sees his titls as proof to all that he can stand up to even the Gods because He has faith and respect for them and they he. It probably doesn't hurt that he offeres them regular sacrifices of Gnome meat, Sourced out of Gnome prisons of course as "Free Gnomes is not food no more."

His rise to Arch-Prelate reflects this interpretation. The Dragonwright hierarchy, rather than condemning him, has come to regard his victories as proof of divine favor. Torock himself sees his title as validation that mortal strength, when aligned with faith, may stand even before the judgment of gods. It is said, unofficially and often controversially, that offerings are made in his name, including tributes taken from condemned sources, justified as necessary provisions for those beyond redemption.

Across the plains and borderlands of Retheme, Sir Torock Dragonslayer is not merely a warrior or cleric. He is a living testament to the Church of Dragonwright's harshest principle: that faith is not passive belief, but enforced reality. Where he rides, order follows. Where he judges, consequence is immediate.

As Arch-Prelate, Torock and his rhinoceros mount move as one, an indomitable convergence of trollish might, sacred authority, and unwavering doctrinal will, advancing ever forward in the name of Dragonwright dominion and dedication.
