To the world, Faeriala Dawnleaf is a respected ranger of the Elven lands, a skilled tracker and protector of the wilderness. She has spent years moving among the forests and towns of Jordaine, earning trust as a dependable scout and survivalist. Many admire her grace and keen instincts, believing her to be a devoted defender of the Elven way.
But this is only a facade. Faeriala is, in truth, an albino Drow, born in the depths of the Underdark and trained from childhood in the arts of deception, subterfuge, and assassination. Her unnaturally pale skin, Pale violet eyes and dyed red hair made her an ideal infiltrator, able to pass as a surface elf with ease. With the right clothing, sunlight protection, and carefully cultivated mannerisms, she has seamlessly blended into the world above.
She is an agent of a secretive Drow faction, sent to spy on the surface Elves of Jordaine and feed information back to her handlers. Her mission is to observe, manipulate, and weaken the defenses of the Elven lands from within. She has spent years carefully cultivating relationships, posing as a noble-hearted ranger while subtly gathering intelligence, sabotaging key efforts, and ensuring the Drow remain one step ahead. She knows of the Drow from Neveral and has seen the one serving the Baron and remains out of her notice as much as possible so as to not accidently tip her hand.
Faeriala operates with cold precision and ruthless pragmatism. She is charming and persuasive when needed, fully aware of how to maintain her false persona. While her Aberrant alignment means she adheres to a personal code of honor, it is one dictated by efficiency and the long-term success of her mission rather than morality.
Despite her deception, she harbors a genuine respect for the natural world, something she did not expect to develop after living among the surface elves for so long. There is a part of her that admires their ideals, even as she works against them. Whether she will remain loyal to her Drow kin or eventually defect remains an open question, one that even she may not yet fully know the answer to.
