Dalana Brightwood was born into a family of devoted clerics and hunters in the deep forests of Arethane. From an early age, she was raised with reverence for Solonor Thelandira, the Elven god of archery, hunting, and wilderness survival. While she was skilled with the bow, her true calling was not in hunting game but in healing the wounds of those who defended the land. Under the guidance of the temple elders, Dalana studied the sacred texts, trained in herbal medicine, and learned the divine magic granted by Solonor.
Her faith and skill eventually led her to Newhaven, where she was recruited into the Newhaven Guard. Though the Guard is primarily made up of scouts and warriors, Dalana was brought in as a healer and spiritual guide. She provides both divine support and battlefield protection, ensuring that the rangers and sentinels of Newhaven are kept strong against the dangers of the wild. Her ability to sense unnatural presences has been invaluable in detecting lurking threats before they strike.
In times of peace, Dalana tends to the wounded, offers blessings to hunters before they embark on their journeys, and maintains the sacred groves near Newhaven where offerings to Solonor are made. However, when danger comes, she stands beside her fellow guards, ready to shield them with divine magic or strike down evil with her silvered mace.
Despite her gentle and kind nature, Dalana is unwavering in her duty. She believes that the balance of nature must be upheld and that those who seek to corrupt the wilds must be dealt with swiftly. As a beacon of Solonor's light, she is both a protector and a guide, ensuring that the people of Newhaven are never without hope.
